What is My.IP?
My.IP is an app that displays information about your public and local IP address. My.IP was created by Mad About Brighton, our company that develops software and websites, as well as publishing IT related blog articles.
Mad About Brighton sets only its own privacy policy for My.IP, not the privacy policies of our customers, affiliates, or others who use My.IP.
What data does My.IP collect about me?
Collect refers to data that is transmitted off your device, either to us or a third party.
My.IP does NOT collect any data.
What data does My.IP share about me?
Share refers to data that is transferred to a third party, either on or off your device.
My.IP does NOT share any data.
What data does My.IP process about me?
Process refers to accessing and using data while it is only stored in memory, and is retained for no longer than necessary to service the specific request in real-time and show you the result.
My.IP processes the IP information of your device and displays it to you.
This data is forgotten once My.IP has closed.
The following device data is processed:-
- Local IP address
- Public IP address
- Public IP address network name
- Public IP address network city
- Public IP address network country
How does My.IP process data about me?
My.IP processes data about you:
- When you open the My.IP app
- When you select to refresh the displayed IP information
The data processed is retained in memory so that My.IP can display it to you.
Once My.IP has closed, the data is no longer retained in any manner.
Does My.IP collect personal information?
My.IP does NOT collect any personal information, including:
- Email addresses
- Passwords
- Payment information
My.IP does not require a user account, so you never give us your email, set-up a password or provide any payment information.
Where does My.IP store data about me?
My.IP only processes IP related data, and stores this in the memory of your device. This data is forgotten once My.IP has closed.
Your data is never saved or sent outside of My.IP.
Does My.IP comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation?
Mad About Brighton respects privacy rights under Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Information that GDPR requires Mad About Brighton to give can be found throughout these questions and answers.
Where can I see, change, and erase data about me?
My.IP only processes IP related data, and stores this in the memory of your device. This data is forgotten once My.IP has closed.
As none of your data is stored beyond this point, there is no data available to be changed or erased.
Does My.IP share data about me with others?
My.IP does NOT sell or give information about you to other companies or services.
